well we agreed that if im guna spend a day or 2 fitting some goodies to her car then she can make mine look and smell a bit better. 🙂 went for a ride out yesterday in car and ive noticed 2 problems. 1st its to low and catches on lock if i have passengers and 2nd there is a flat spot in the power. now that its mot'd i will get the de-cat pipe on at some point this month. this got rid of my previous v6 flat spot and get it lifted up a bit at the same time.

Looking at the earlier picture, it does look bloody low at the front! What's the current drop you are running?

looks lower than mine and I'm 60mm:eek:

its on tunning art coilovers at lowest setting. wasnt a problem when it was on 35 profile tyres but im on 40s now for a slightly better ride lol. perfectly fine when its just me in it tho lol.

Easy fix.....don't give lifts 🙂

That's why I removed the rear seats in my 106, as the wheels were in the arches with just me in the car. Anyone in the back and they used to rub like mad. No seats = no lifts

well when we got the coilovers it was over a year ago and i made the mistake of fitting them without greasing up the threads 1st. the plan is to put the set that i got for my gfs cabby onto this and then strip these down and free them off and clean them up. all was going to plan until i noticed that 1 of the threads on the other coilovers were slightly crossed threaded so they at my dads atm and he guna run a tap/die( carnt remember which 1 it is) down it and clean them up.

some engine pics for you guys. think ive double posted some tho. ive shown were ive had to cut away some of the front panel to make the rad fit. the rad would fit behind however it was to close for my liking to the down pipes. the engine bay is a long way off from been finished as i still have some of the old 2.2 loom to get rid of but thats guna have to wait until next week off. last to pics are my gfs handy work with the wet vax 🙂

done a little more to the ord bus today. belt been slipping when engine is cold so replaced the 6pk1890 belt for a 6pk1880. will see in a few weeks time if its tight enough. ive adjustd the height of the car. given it a 30mm lift at front and a 25mm at the rear. the n/s rear was scrubbing when kids were in the back and when i checked it today that spring was 20 odd mm lower then the o/s so replaced both springs and fitted the adjusters. local car club is doing a rolling road day out for the 2nd march so will attend that and see how well she is running.

yeh the radio dont go as loud as it used to. cone filter make it sound immense 🙂.

alot harder but really smooth. the traction control is disconnected so she can brake traction if you give it some stick between gear changes but thats if you get very excited with the go pedal 🙂.

hello boys and girls (if we have any?) 🙂. ive deceided that the coilovers are going up forsale. been offered a set of koni adjustable shocks with eibach springs for reasonable money. they getting collected in 2-3 weeks time. the car now has decat on and the flat spot has gone. the log book has been sent off to get it registerd as a v6 so waiting for that to return. got a question for you guys tho... want to pull front seats out on my week off. if i disconnect the wiring thats under the seat will i have any problems with warnings on dash when i put them back in? cheers jp

hey no the lamp will go out if the fault is removed so even if you remove the seats and turn the ignition on and get an lamp once you plug them back in and it finds them it will extinguish
just be sure to not plug them in or unplug them with the ignition on it could cause a spike and trigger the pretensioners
