There was so much stress in these pipes after welding it was crazy. I received mine at work and I noticed the bend in the flange face as soon as I unwrapped it. We put it on the surface table and held it down at one end and there was a 12mm gap at the other end!!
When this is pulled down onto the head its putting a lot of stress on the securing studs and pulling at the welds at the same time. Eventually something has to give.
