Is there a trick to starting my car after major engine work.
I have just completed rebuilding my engine with new stem seals, piston rings, big end shells and timing chain.
The engine will start but not tickover or rev and simply cuts out again.
So far I have...
Checked the cam timing and refitted the chain to make sure,
Compression tested all cylinders and Im getting a healthy even reading on all 4 cylinders.
Checked and used hylomar on the inlet manifold gaskets.
Sealed the EGr pipe next to the inlet manifold.
Been round every connection I have disturbed.
Im getting a good spark and fuel but it simply wont come to life properly.
Im starting to tear out what little of my hair I have left.
