Matt I've got my laptop working on the TV as well now, looks brilliant in widescreen. I "borrowed" a cable from work, as the ones which Dixon's sell are £40
JasGriff Cable is 19.99 i just looked lol. I got one in the box with the tv looks really cool when you run a lappy through it. Just like a massive monitor. have a look on the microsoft website for WMV HD files and try and play one of them through it they will give you an idea of the quality. You need to get windows media center next.......
Matt just tried running one of the videos, and it crashed my whole laptop, killed the graphics card, and forced a reboot. Don't think that my graphics card can cope, it's 3 years old now
Baz its quite good being able to link the pc up to the tv my tv only supports 1024 x 768 so cant get what my 19inch pc monitor can 😃 maybe try adjusting the resolution matt maybe to high for your graphics card
Matt Think I know why, I've tried running one of the 1080p files, which needs a resolution of 1920 x 1440, but my graphics card only supports 1024x768, which is what the 720p video is. Will try the other one now.
Matt yup, dried all sorts of settings, each time I run the video, I get sound, and then the graphics card just stops, and the screen goes all funny, then a "serious error has occured"
Baz do u have a svideo cable and a scart socket connecter box for the svideo cable i use that one on mine m8 and it works fine 😃
JasGriff You will loose quality trying to do that and it probably still wont work. Does it run ok just on ur pc?
