oh and if you measure the voltage across the pedal connections is that operating correcly?
i tested the pedals. signal getting through perfectly, so we can rule that out. throttle body butterfly inactive, which is what was happening earlier in the week, and throttle position sensors not behaving properly now. it seems odd that there are problems with BOTH throttle bodies, although not out of the question i guess. i spent hours today outside playing around with tech2 to find out the problem. have now been able to generate further fault codes. from this i am thinking problem is either with throttle body ecu or throttle body itself. tech2 will not allow you to reprogram or modify without the approval of TIS (which i dont have here atm) so effectively the car is in limp mode with a throttle body that wont open.
this shows current fault codes. throttle body actuator test fail, original manifold pressure fail, and now ecu fail. worth noting that everything else seems to be working fine:

this shows further info. top info refers to accelerator pedal, so you can see sensors working fine and pedal can open to equivalent of 99% throttle. no problems there. the lower figures relate to the throttle body. throttle position sensors are ok, throttle body registers only 41-44% open (because of limp mode?) however does not physically move, even when you tell tech2 to open it at specific values (e.g. 75% open).

i have an ecu, youll have to let me know the part number
where is the throttle body ecu located, or is it software driven by the main ecu? can you let me know what your part number is and i'll check it against what the tech2 flashes up on mine
