What fuel do you use for your car? I run mine on Optimax as I have heard it's good for it :wink:

I had to use some crap petrol yesterday (I think it was a Total garage) as I was very low, and in the middle of a lost world. I went out for a day trip to Amble and could not find a shell garage :roll: . I said I was sorry to my car, I only slipped a £5 in so I could get some good stuff later :wink:

anyone tried the esso super unleaded? i've read its the best out of the lot.

was in an esso garage yesterday and it was 93.9p a litre which was 2 p a litre cheaper than optimax.

might give it a go :?

My favourite 'poison' is tesco's 99 RON,
its the closest to me and i can feel the differance!

i use a various, ive tried optimax but it didnt do antthing for performance however the consuption was slightly better but does that justifiy the higher price?!

it was proven on some tv program that it increased BHP on turbo cars but not NA cars, cant remember the program though!

Evo mag done a test and unless your engin is highly modded then it is only needs putting in every 4-5 tank full to keep the pipes clean.

there where no performace gains and once the engin is clean you will get the same mpg using 95ron fule.

I used to use shell and bp but dont now and have not noticed a diffrence.

Sainsburys boggo standard no spark unleaded.

Bring back 5 star fully leaded. Proper petrol, yes I know it will bugger your cat. Just a shame you can't get it for older motors anymore.

Anyone remember 5 Star fuel, not Five Star the eighties pop group............

i just use any, doesnt bother me. have done with all my cars and no damage has been done

I use BP Ultimate Unleaded, as there isn't a Shell garage any where near me. I don't really notice a gain in performance, with the engine only beaing a 1.6, but the engine runs soooo much better on the decent fuel. Get about 30-40 miles extra to a full tank as well. Definately worth the extra 11p a litre, as it 101.9p a litre where I live.

How much does everyone else pay??

Shell Optimax for me. I've tried BP Ultimate and I thought it was pants compared to Shell.
