Mark_Dj Someone on Astra Sport said this... Check the fuse for the information display, mine did this 2 days ago (albeit a MK4 astra) and it made my power steering go. the RAC man said if it goes it can disturb the alternator and make it go a bit whappy! My info display looks fine, looks to be working as normal notsure.gif
Daz hmmm,.... next port of call would be a fuse?... or maybe the eletric pump... will check with vx 2moz for you aswell for know issues...
MikeS it is the gen1 power pumps that were prone to fail it is less likely for them to go on the mrk5
Mark_Dj Fired the car up this morning and the power steering is working again notsure.gif . Got me a bit worried incase it goes on me or my girlfriend when out driving in it :?
Mark_Dj Car is booked into Vauxhall tomorrow. They said the car has a recall on it for the horn. Hope they solve the power steering issue out....

MikeS lovely device vauxhall put in to help communications with all the modules & ECU's - commonly known as steering column module main problems include immobilizer, ABS cost around 500 notes and need to be programmed in
Mark_Dj Just pulled the car off the drive ready to go to Vauxhall later today and I can hear the power steering moaning a little, even without turning the wheel I can hear it. It sounds like it's low on fluid but I checked it and I could see fluid in the bottle but don't know how full it was as it was dark (used a torch). I will feel a little silly if it's just fluid
