My Ma had a man from swalec out today to fit a new vent to the front of the house, (she got some cover plan with them or summat)
Anyhow on inspection of the job when i finished work i personally was shocked at the poor quality of the whole job....
Heres some pics with a brief tag on each
Inside vent....Just held on with silicone, top and sides...No screws at all....if you look at the pic u will notice a small wire at the bottom of the vent running across the skirting
with the wire pulled away from the skirting. Nice gap
Pulled on the cover and it came off in me hands, to find...
Now i presume the pipework is meant to meet the inside cover....
And that the surrounding area's shud have been made good etc and sealed so that the it vents to outside and not up thru the cavity...ruler shows depth of hole left open
Moving to outside, the cover has yet again been stuck on with silicone(no screws at all.) half the old vent brick is still there just open to the cavity and the mess not cleared up
Am i being picky with the jobs or is it very poor....
