sitting in the pub on saturday my mate peeps up to the girl were chatting to that he got pulled over doing 127mph and the copper let him off , he swears this is true, he then said he didnt relise he was going that quick cuz speedos are incorrect at that speed, fair enough but its a 1.4 fiesta and he says it was doing 4000rpm my 2.2 does 4000rpm at about 85mph, why lie.

also he had allegedly the worlds pokiest 200sx apparently(claimed 280bhp!!!!), my mate who is helping me wit my car is a 200sx nut asked to look under the bonnet, then rang me up saying he didn't wanna call him a liar to his face but he had never seen anything so standard!! nissan badges on everything!

PMSL a customer asked what engine i had in my coupe and told me his mate had an 1.8 coupe had it chipped and it is now 200BHP!! lol waste of time buying a gsi then so I laughed and told him mine was 400bhp must be around town by now lol

have you looked at are coupes reviews online ? some off them are jokes, standard 2..2 good for 165mph and 0-60 in 5 seconds, yeah right, funny2 read tho

if you notice a lot of american films when they read a speedo quite often the dial is showing kmh even tho americans read mph (fast and the furious is another very guilty film!)

I had a chap buy something from us off of eBay and he showed an interest in my car on the drive and asked about what work had been done. He then told me that he used to have a Vectra GSi that had a Courtenay Twin Turbo conversion that they had carried out on it. I asked how much power it had and he said 470bhp. This was also why he crashed it as it had too much power! What a cock!

I said that I was going to be calling Jon at Courtenay the following day and he went rather red and said that they probably wouldn't remember the conversion as it was a long time ago. Oh how I laughed when on the phone the next day.

Courtenay have never heard of the car or it's owner. They must have forgot it then?????

500bhp vectra easy forgotton sore 3 off them on the way to work, lol, fast n furious makes me laff they spend more time gear changing then accelerating, the cars must av 15 gears they go through 10 just cruising through town lol

The main thing I liked about the Vauxhall Astra 2.2 16 Coupe Bertone Edition was the power, and this car has a lot of it. I know this because I took it to a test track, put my foot down and these were the results:
TOP SPEED: 165mph
0-60: 5.8secs
Some cars I over took: Mini Cooper S, VW Golf GTi, BMW M5d, Vauxhall VXR220 TURBO and it beat an Audi TT in a drag.

I used to have a couple of mates who did that. They would come out with a load of bs like ive just had a turbo fitted but no dump valve so you cant here it then when you ask to look under the bonnet you get, Oh the catch is broke so it wont pop up! F**K off!!!

I think a lot of people do this because most people don't really know much about cars, and they think they'll just believe what they say without really questioning it.

I've known several people talk absolute bollox about their cars, or stuff they have done with them. I personally leave them to it.

I do remember a few years ago that a certain person with a compressor forced induction vehicle claimed to been travelling at 150mph before being pulled by the traffic police. The officer was really impressed with this vehicle so much so that he let the driver on his way as the officer was also a car enthusiast.

could anyone tell me what standard specs of astra coupe bertone 2.2 are? this is my 13th vauxhall and best so far (no bullshite), just wanted to know top speed and 0-60 as i cant find out untill ive changed the split head. notsure.gif

After having my service done by Neil (Blue se2) he said the FSB oil we put in, I should have an extra 20bhp, that with fresh filters cleaning up the airflow I`m hoping for a 45hp increase. Dunno what you lot are all on about lol
