Mega clean and clay today!

I spent five hours cleaning my car today and it now looks mint 😃

Got myself one of these this morning from halfrauds:

Having never used clay before i soon worked out what it was about and went over the whole car then finished with the wax included in the kit,

Im well impressed with how much crap came off my car using clay and ill deffinatly use it again 🙂

And the state of my wheels wich im either going to refurb or get some other ones dunno..

refurb the alloys yourself m8, bowl of hot soapy water and some wet n dry

ask scott as he has sprayed his alloys many times

Don't you just love the feel of freshly clayed and waxed panels? It feels like glass once its been done!

Great work there mate, as Mike said, have a go at the wheels yourself if you are thinking of having them re-done anyway.

Its silky smooth i think if i slid across the bonnet id break the land speed record! :lol:

Might have a go myself with the wheels the only thing that puts me off is theres about 100 spokes to sand down :eh: Ill end up with stubbs instead of fingers!

That looks spot on, wish I had the time for a good clean. Mines started to show the swirls where I've started being lazy.

Im quite lucky as silvers dosent show so much with swirls. Your black car must be a nightmare!

looking good burt. i know what you mean about the multi spoke ones they are a night mare.
find a company to shot blast them or acid dip them.

Thats what i was thinking shot or sand blast then get them powder coated anthricate drool.gif Ill have to look in to it :thumbup:

Just sent A&C shotblast in newbury an email so ill see what i get back. Cheep hopefully 🙂

A&C got back to me today 35+vat per wheel so thats 165.50 for 4. Thats not bad i thought plust they say it takes 2-4 days.

What do refurb companys charge normaly and is this a good price?

Thats good mike, What i got quoted for originaly was for grit blast and powder coat.

Is that 120 for the same?

then they were fillered then sprayed

£120 is a good price it just depends how quick u need them back do you have spare alloys?

Nope no spares i was going to leave the car on stands at work While there done.

So 165 is too much then?

I might just see how much grit or sand blasting is then i can paint them myself dunno..

That was for grit blasting and powder coating for 4 wheels including vat.

They said 165 is the price for any colour they have already in stock or if i wanted a specific colour it would be an extra 70 quid on top of the 165 for the powder.

They said they hold a large veriety of colours in stock.
