Did you upgrade the valve springs/seats/retainers when you had your cylinder head modified?
I used the original springs/retainers, I also left the original valve seats in place and just had them recut to match the bigger valves
but if I was to rebuild another z22se head I would use standard size wasted stem/swirl polished valves and double valve springs + uprated retainers

but at the time (18 months ago) it seemed a good idea to increase the size of the valve and retain the original bits, but now I would recommend just to upgrade the valves (the standard are not good for performance) and to allow a higher rpm - fit the double valve springs
other than that the head can be ported, but most are just polish jobs
