spark plugs help

right guys ive to change the spark plugs on my car. took the old ones out and opend the new ones (new ones are vx ones) but the old ones are smaller and only has two metal bits at the bottom of the spark plug

what i want to know is it safe to put the new ones in and will it cause any damage or is the old one thats in the car the wrong one. ive been to vauxhall and its the only plug for the 2.2 and the old one thats in the car isnt am vx one

i would assume the ones that are in there aren't vauxhall plugs. As you say the only plug listed for the 2.2 is the tri electrode one which you have just bought.

Can't rememver how long mine were when i changed therm.

ive been speaking to geoff on astra sport and he say the same m8 im just a bit worried as to what the feck has been put in my car

yeah i bet, can't see that they would have done any damage being shorter plugs.

maybe thats why my car has been a bit kak on starting not getting the right spark do u think it would be safe to put the new ones in

yeah i reckon so, they wouldn't sell them if they weren't the right ones.

the ones i bought are defo the right ones its the ones in the car are the wrong ones i want to fit the new ones but dunno

chuck them in i say, reckon the car will go a bit better with them in.

thats what geoff says he said if i wasnt sure to put them in 1 at a time and turn the crank to see if theres any resistance instead of just starting the car try that tomorow i think

yeah you could do that but i doubt you'll have any problems.

who put the last plugs in? where they in there when you bought the car?

when i bought the car the timing chain snapped so i got a new engine and the sparks have been in since it was replaced last year by vx arnold clark (by the way never buy a car from these cowboys) but my m8 rekomended changing them to go with the new filter and airbox mods

oh the sparks in the car has a number on the white bit the vx one says 013 and the one in the car says 001

not sure tbh, is it part of the part numbers for the plugs maybe.

the old ones arent vx cos they dont have the gm logo them

lol me to i wonder if they fitted 2litre ones and thats why they are diffrent

the new ones are correct baz..there totally diff to 2ltr ones anyhow...and the tip at the bottom are not a prob m8,,
1 tip 10k change
2 tips 20k change
3 tips 30k change
