Any updates on the intake pipes for the 2.2 Burt??

Trouble is tho its not a cheep mod even for just parts. It must be 150quid just for cat and materials then like all things its the time spent on it that rinses your wallet. 200-250 :wtf:

If someone was willing to send me the parts id make one up. carnt realy aford to do one myself at the min 🙁

:eh: That was allot but then its fitted and was worked out from scratch so i spose its someware neer.

how much of a difference did it make?

i lost a lot of back pressure as i had piper manifold and magnex 2.5" cat back, there was no reason for back pressure considering diameter and flow, if anything the engine needs to be mapped but i want to try a 2.4 manifold first

however around 70 mph in 3rd u really notice the difference all the way to 110

also the noise was funny, it makes the engine sound like a redtop, pure grunt !

Ah you going for the marmite manifold :lol: Why not try a lsj t/b for a bit more air flow or cams?

noting wrong with the 2.4 manifold imo if you matched the improvement in flow concerning your exhaust

whats the point increasing air flow to find the exhaust is restricting it

the only problem with the 2.4 manifold is that the map on the 2.2 is not designed for it in the sense she runs lean at higher revs, long term use could cause possible damage as the Americans state on several forums

I wont touch cams purely cos it is a vectra and i live in quite a congested area, so loads of stop starting apart from night time

Yea i can see the logic in that mike and a good point about cams too.

With mine when it was fitted it actualy run slightly richer at WOT so im not sure if that would be a worry unless you had cams, headwork and exhaust sytem as ive been reading on here.

Good on ya tho i hope you get an improvement with the 2.4 mani. Just might cost a bit to get it mapped dunno..

I think the 2.4 inlet manifold is good tbh. I love my one makes the car pull soo much harder and with the cams and exhaust manifold it's great to help it breath just right.

Thats charlie mike, mums new cat he's a nutter tho so he might have to have his nuts out!

Found our last cat stiff as a board on the driveway one morning(old age) 🙁

yeh worth getting their nuts chopped 🙂

our recent acquisition is called trigger cos he is a nut job, 2 inch titanium plate in his leg, missing 2 front teeth, rear claw, holes in his ears

the vet told us he was already missing his nuts then the above happened, we then took him to the vet recently cos he was involved in a nasty fight to notice he still infact had his balls

since then he has put on some weight and calmed down lol

It's supprising how much they calm down after that. mind you we probably would too!

He's still got a couple of month till he can have it done so he's got a shock coming soon!

Can we still get the catch tank and inlet pipe with heat shield? if so how much for both? and where can you get the silicon hose from where it goes into the TB?
