Daz it worked...lol...like i said the chainsa doddle...it just al the stuff u gotta take off to get to it...on a ramp is a pain really...too much up and down...if u dont mind lying on ure bk u cud do it on ure drive..
Baz good job m8 i wouldnt want to takle that myself like could pics aswell also liking the made up tool
Daz not realy m8...under the arch a bit but can do most from above...aprt from doin the oil change... dont need a locking tool realy...was just to stop the cams jumping round on me...the coloured links makes things simple tbh...
Daz as long as uve got a resonable toolkit u shud have no worrys m8...and a airgun to undo the crank pulley bolt...as i said earlier...left the car in work...small jobs to do,but was worn out...12hrs is more than enought for me..thats 5 in works and 7 on my car
Andy thats cool then. have read elsewhere that 1 or 2 of the bolts are a nightmare to get out cos of the space is this right?
Daz the ones holding the engine mtg to the block are a pain to get out,got to jack the engine up and down a bit to get em out
opel_cdx daz, where abouts does the oil jet go? can you show in your pics? am I right in thinking thats your car on 3rd chain in 120k?
Daz well its all back apart again guys...managed to stuff the keyway on the crank whilst refitting the crank pully...and the 2 gears on the crank that the chain runs on are fubbered to..had to break the balance shaft gear to get it off the crank..shit appens i spose...
Daz a bit pissed of m8,but ok,just got to spend more on parts now...saying that...got it apart a lot quicker the 2nd time..lol
Andy lol yeah one consolation i guess. how much more you gotta fork out or don't you know yet? bet you wish you hadn't started it now, although i guess it will be worth it in the end.
Daz aint got a clue how much yet...need new,,crank pully, crank woodruff key, gears for cam chain and balance shaft chain that fit on crank, and new set off bolts...
