I'm just trying to cut down on the heat rising up into the engine bay. I can't wrap the manifold as I have read that being cast iron it is likely to crack more easily if the heat can't escape. The other use of the wrap is that by containing the heat in the exhaust system it makes the exhausted gases flow more efficently??
