Help with poor running Z22 Zaffy please !!

i paid 280 for a compression test, new gm one from stealers fitted and tech 2 robbin gits lol

usually when a coil pack goes it will bring up the dtc for a specific cylinder, hence reason why you had compression test to rule out mechanical failure

compression tester costs 20 quid from halfrauds 😛

What would happen with a misfire, would it actually give me a warning light / fault code ? I've never had anything show up on the dash except the one and only time with the EML the other day

i would expect it could well be a p0300 code - random misfire, these tend to come up when u ignore the misfire and floor it instead of letting the engine settle

this is from my experience

u need to get the code though m8 and we can take it from there

my eml would come on had had a code and turned out cylinder was misfireing and got a new coilpack and set of plugs and was sorted 🙂 might be worth getting checked out to see if thre is any codes stored

Nope no codes stored - checked it the other day with Snapon code reader wotsit. It's been better since the service I did the other week and I'm also now mixing the fuel up with 95 / 98 and it seems a bit happier.

sound similar to the probs i had with my zaffy 2.2

had no eml (engine managemet light) but was running like yours

vx stealer fixed it under my aa warranty needed new egr valve (according to vx zaffy cant be cheated i did ask) and throttle bodies cleaned

toatl cost was £300+ but warranty picked most of that up cost me £60
