Same kit as mine. Got a airbox today off ecky cheers.. the veccy looked in a bit of a sorry state, but looks like the Vec b airbox is completely different to the Astra still going to have a go with a dremal if not i may just fit it and see how i get on.

Ace mine came with a metal bracket to fix to the car to stop it rattling did yours? as i can not see it in the photos dunno..

Yes i sold about 2 weeks after we fitted it. I just didnt get on with it.

My catch tank is amazing 😉 Had a small Lucozade bottle previously (transferred from my old Mk3 XE) but it filled up too quickly! Can't believe how much shit these things churn out to be honest.

Yep same as the one in the pic at the top of this thread - runs through a jubilee clip and bolts on to one of the engine lifting eyes 🙂

my catch tank is situated in the corner right hand side of engine bay behind battery against right hand side wing panel, it aint secured but it wont go anywhere

i also got a return feed pipe back into air intake pipe as i know it needs a vacuum for the condensation to be sucked out of cam cover, but instead it now goes into catch tank before the air reaches the intake pipe

Well a massive thanks to Ecky for gving me his Vec B airbox to try and make a enclosure but even with chopping it up i dont think it would have fitted right in the astra.

I didnt really want to chop the Astra airbox up.

I then fitted but was a bit disapointed with the fitting as i had to make the oval inlet pipe fit the round neck of the inuction kit, the noise was good though lol. I am going to try and Vec inlet pipe and see if thats better fit with it been round.

I will post pics when i am happy.

Well small update, it is all fitted. The sound is great.

I am not sure about power if i have loss'd any BHP but it used to pop changing gears from 1st to 2nd but i may just no be able to hear it over the noise lol.

I have done a few tests and each one has shown that the alloy inlet pipe does get hot after a run i presume this isnt great and i will be getting heat soak?

I might try and re-postion it slightly.
