Sorry guys i know this is depresing but i need get it off my chest....

Very long story short..... my partner, Mandy.... her dad was taken in hosptal last friday with bleeding from his back passage, on a routine visit on monday night, we were both taken into a room on the ward by a doctor, he told Mandy and me along with her sister that their dad was in a very serious condidtion with only approx 24 - 48 hrs to live! The doctor told us if he was opperated on there was a small 20% chance he would servive due to his condition, he has had the shit of life threw at him... cancer, hart attack and strokes just to name a few. The doctor wanted an answer within the hour on wether to operate or not.... but with Mandy being one of 10 sisters we had to get them all to the hospital for a decsion. The heart breaking part for me was hearing the reaction of her sisters over the phone once mandy told them the news...... You can imagine how hard it was for Mandy to break the news.
The sisters and partners quickly arrived and the doctor went through in fine detail what was going on with thier dad.
Their decsion was to let him pass away in his own time, however he would be made comfy with the aid of oxygen and morphene so he would feel no pain. thing is the old git is still fighting it and will not let go.

Basicly the doctors told us that ether his gut or part of his bowell has died and is leaking acid into his blood which will kill him, but with his condition and age an operation could kill him.

With all the morphene he has slept most of the time but there has been times where he has woke up in pain, its not a nice sight to say the least, but he has atleast reconnised some of his family.

Today was my first day back in work after my long weekend off, it was too hard and i had to go half way through my shift. just couldnt bare the thought of mandy getting upset and her dad going.

Not long been back from the hospital, his condidtion is deteriorating slowly but he his trying to fight bless him.

Anyway i just wanted to get this off my chest, i tried in work but got too uptight with people.
