Exhaust manifolds

I'v just taken the heat sheild off my exhaust manifold to see how much room there is for my 4 branch i want to make. And it looks like the manifold is cracked between 2 and 3 cylinders. I knew i had a blow when it was cold but i thought i was the down pipe gasket as i didn't replace it when i fitted the sport cat.
Has anyone else had a cracked manifold.

Oh yes mate!!!

Mine is a Vectra 2.2, have had 2 cracked manifolds, first one at around 30K, second one recently at around 48K.

Was an easy job to change, manifold for the Vectra cost £80 from VX, only problem was getting one, lad in parts dept was telling me that as most of the engines have had at least 1 spare fitted the spares are running out fast.

Glad to i'm not the only one thats exactly the same as mine gutted, but a good reason to try this 4 branch i better be quick then if vx are running out.

Yeah mine was broken too, I have the Dbilas fitted now. Gives a really nice sound, much better than the original one. It also has four "chambers", so keeps the air seperated from each other....

is the Dbilas an aftermarket manifold? if so where do get it and how much. i had my first manifold welded buy a friend who specialises in cast welding but it only lasted a week. dont realy want to replace with standard one if its going to go within a year or so.

the dbilas is an aftermarket item, won't be cheap
