At the moment, unleaded petrol in the UK contains 5% ethanol, known as E5, however E10 contains 10% ethanol and is not yet available in the UK, but is quite widely sold in other European countries.
It should be fine to continue using regular BP unleaded fuel without any harm to your high pressure pump. Did you renew it with the Continental one?
Below is a link to an article on the RAC website, dated October 2016, about E10 fuel and it specifically mentions Vauxhalls with the Z22YH engine.
https://www.rac.co.uk/drive/advice/emissions/what-is-e10-fuel-and-how-could-it-affect-you/
It mentions the following:
Drivers are advised to contact car manufacturers with any questions surrounding their specific vehicle. For example, Vauxhall says “E10 fuel can be used in all petrol-engine Vauxhall vehicles except models with the 2.2-litre direct-injection petrol engine (code Z22YH) used in Vectra, Signum and Zafira."
Hope this may help.
