Asking for a pal.. he's got emissions issues and think it's lambda related..

This is the query.....

Noticed something odd going on with the lambdas I know one of them fluctuates LEAN / RICH ...

But does the other because mines stuck on RICH even with ignition off

Highlighted in red the one which is stuck on RICH ....

are those reading fine for a Z22SE ?

i found that once the sensors are up to temp and idle running both the Mv of the 2 sensors is within 50-100mv
b1s1 - 850
b1s2 - 800

Your front readings at idle or constant RPM with the engine upto temperature and the system in closed loop should be reading 0.1v - 0.9v and cycling continuously between the two figures.

Your rear sensor at idle/constant RPM should be a steady voltage without too much variation.

Thanks so far chaps... next question

  • Can you ask if the sensor 2 ( after cat ) should read rich or lean as I now know sensor 1 is defo rich/lean .

Its more the voltage your looking at. with the engine warmed up:-

Connect to the engine, Go to measuring blocks. Click RECORD, SAve file to desktop. Then allow the car to idle for 1 minute, Then hold revs on 2k for 1 minute. Then press SAVE. Upload the file so I can see it and make some graphs.
