Hi everyone,
I am planning to rebuild Z22SE engine fully and supercharge it. But im not really sure, are there is any benefits from non Original crankshaft? I see in projects there being used different ones, just thinking why? Im also thinking to use forged pistons and eagle rods, if that changes anything for a crankshaft situation.

Nothing wrong with the standard crankshaft.

Another question is , how to deal with astra G power steering if using aftermarket ECU? Don’t really find a lot of information how it works without OEM ECU…

I assume it won’t work if I gonna use for example DTA ECU?

I don't see a lot of reason why it wouldn't work ? Steering and engine are two quite separate systems in terms of any controls, and the Astra G is a pretty old basic car.

Since it’s electric hydraulic pump, though it might have something to do with ECU as well Thank you for answer! And yes it’s old basic car perfect to learn how to boost it I think

Generally the pump will just run as needed to maintain pressure in the system.

It is possible it might have a vehicle speed input, to increase assistance at low speeds, but that would be separate from the engine ecu
