Sump questions

Bonus, they sent me three of them. Better yet, the VDO temp sensor fits. Slight downside is it's bigger than I expected so will need to find somewhere sensible to mount it.

any way to weld it to a sump plug with a hole down the centre?

I'm sure you could but I think it would be a bit messy. You're welcome to swing by and grab one to have a play with, if you want?

Thanks Matt (y) I would nip round but they called me yesterday so I am stuck in Barcelona!

I will take it to that engineering firm and see if they can do anything

How about this for a work around, I have a spare oil pressure adapter as used for the pressure switch, could I put one inline where the OEM pressure sensor is to enable me to add the oil temp sensor?

wonder if it would read correctly?

or maybe add it along side the new pressure sensor, although it would stick well into the flow of oil to the cooler.

how long is the thread on the sensor? Could you drill a hole in the sump and put a copper either side of the sump and use a nut??
Most sump plugs just thread into a captive nut set up with a cooper washer and they seal???
