Someone on this site may be able to help :

2002 Astra . 2.2 Ecotech N/a

I have a starting problem : cranks for a long time and then decides to start . Once it starts, it runs fine .

Attempted starting sequence :

* crank for maybe 5 seconds
* stop / rest
Crank again for 5 seconds
*stop/rest
*crank again for 5 or so seconds, stop and a "pop" from inlet ( Timing ??? )
*Crank again , starts roughly and after application of accelerator runs fine
* starts fine when hot ............

I have :
Replaced fuel filter
Replaced fuel pump
Replaced ignition module/coil pack with after market item

Any ideas ??
It's really annoying ...............

stop replacing parts, test.

Scope the crank signal to verify if good. Or at a bare minimum, get a proper scan tool and see if you're getting a good clean rpm signal when cranking.
Check coolant temp sensor readings on scan tool. The fact it starts and runs fine hot, may suggest an issue there. But check, don't fire the parts cannon

Check fuel pressure
Check for a signal to the injectors and coil pack..
