Rattle help

on start up you can hear the chain rattle once the oil has got to it it's quiet it only seems to do it first start up of the day
I think it's the tensioner draing it's oil
Can you just replace the tensioner or its it s full chain kit
The car has had regular oil changes as in every 3-4 months

Mines doing this again after having both chains done less than 5000miles ago.

I do need to drop the oil this week.

best to do both chain kits not just the tensioner.

To be on the safe side as the cars coming upto 85k

Vauxhall say 100k but I had mine done at 75000. I know others that have had them done at 55000. Are you planning on doing it yourself? If not I can recommend someone to you. But if I do you need to tell him that daves gonna start charging commission hahha

you don't really need the locking tool save yourself £50

Thought you did as it lines up the timing marks

once you get the engine tdc the cams sit in between lobes so dont move unless turned manually
the chain has colored links you match these links to the marks on the sprokets then only fit the cams with the key ligned up

the other way would be bring it to me and save the headache and the dirty hands
