so sunday i sold the 2.0t signum and found a replacement after just one day lol
it looks like this :)

they are a sweet engine, just keep an eye on the vvt solenoids, the metal mesh can block up and stop them working - easy to remove, one bolt and they pull out.

funny you should say that vocky i bought the car with p0013 cam phaser malfunction :)
had a mess today after replacing the high beam bulbs in efforts to get the afl error away what a pain found the trick way to do it lol

ive already ordered 2 new solenoids picked up new wiper blades 5l of oil a new filter, gearbox oil , 50/50 mix long life coolant

next thing is to get the headlamp error gone, by replacing the bulbs ive now got the side illumination when turning the wheel left or right but no main beam.
ive managed to get the b1325 to clear and stay off but now its just the b0985

new oil and filter in and new coolant in today no sign of the cam solenoids van man must not like the snow also need to get a new d1s bulb for the front light its gone purple lol

vocky i dont suppose you have the a20nft timing tool ? if you do could you get some birds eye pics of the full tool with the prongs

also sprockets have a locating pin, so only go in one position.

The a20nft chain kit is quite cheap because it does not come with the cam sprockets

going to make a tool to hold them still while undoing the bolts dont want to damage the internal springs only got the one set of sprockets lol

the centre bolt can be undone the same as z22se, 24mm spanner on the cam.

I have two spare pairs of sprockets if you get stuck

picked up the new chains and the new cam bolts the bolts were £1.38 each from vx lol

Circuit/System Testing
1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate headlamp assembly.
2. Test for less than 5 Ω between the ground circuit terminal 1, 8 and ground.
⇒ If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
3. Ignition ON, connect a test lamp between the ignition circuit terminal 6 and ground. The test lamp should illuminate.
⇒ If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
4. If all circuits test normal, replace the appropriate headlamp assembly. Verify that the DTC do not reset.
⇒ If the DTC resets, replace the K28 Headlamp Leveling Control Module.

simmler procedure for the insignia my man on the inside printed the checking procedure for me and i already done the testing and replaced the k28 just need to go and get it calibrated im hoping thats it the up and down shutter control are not in the same place so hoping the recalibration sorts it

had a noise from the drivers wheel the disc was a bit raggy round the edges cleaned it up and painted the back plate
i did dot some fertan up under the arch to kill any potential rust
