Thought I'd start a thread showing what I'll be doing / have done to the car while getting it ready for PVS

Today, made a start cleaning and sealing the exterior.

As of tomorrow, I'm working 7 X 12 hour days, so it's going to be tight time wise.

I also need to try and minimise usage to keep it looking clean as I'll only have Friday and Saturday next week to get everything else finished off.

Well, I've spent all day cleaning the car today.

Took me a lot longer than I wanted to, because I wasn't happy with the finish that I got from two of the products.

DoDo Juice Red Mist Tropical and AutoGlym Quick Detailer.

No matter how much I worked the product, and even buffed with a brand new MF cloth, it was still leaving a streaky finish and making the paint look even more swirled than before.

So, I've ended up using my old favourite, Natty's Blue Wax. The only reason I don't use it as much as I would like is because it's a really soft wax, so doesn't last very long.

Tomorrow I've got to finish the interior, and I'll be giving it another coat of Natt's Blue.

The wheels have also had a coat of Poorboys Wheel Sealant.

Ere Matt!! I've not used my DA with anything else other than Meguiars Ultimate Polish. I've got the Meguiars yellow pads, would I use the Super Resin Polish in the same way and then buff off with a microfiber cloth? Also, when you've applied the SRP, what speed setting do you use?

Evening John. You can use SRP as you would any medium compound polish. You want to use a similarly matched pad, so depending on what kit you have, will depend on what pad to use.
Speed wise, start on 1 and work your way up as you work the polish in until it's broken down fully
