Changed the oil on my gearbox again today. It was last changed 18 months ago

Even after just 18 months since it was last changed, gear change is a LOT smoother with the fresh oil in.

From looking at the comparison of the old oil vs the new oil, this should be a pretty good incentive for anyone else who's oil was last changed more than 18 months to do so.

Does it take long to do Matt?

Took about 1.5 hours, as I had to go back to Halfords to get an 10mm allen key, as my 10mm allen key socket didn't get between the subframe and the drain plug on the back of the box.

I was quite surprised to see how the old oil had changed so much in just 18 months and 6,000 miles! For how long and what it costs, it will be getting done every 18 months, as I've never trust the "fill for life" that VX state.
