I've been with FluxDirect for 2 years now and have sent my renewal quote through yesterday. I'm struggling to come to terms with how much they are asking for.
My car a 1.6 petrol focus on 08 reg only 28k on clock.
My renewal: wait for it......... £1,461.71 :wtf:

Me thinks I'll be shopping around and Flux Direct you can kiss my ass for any future custom.

Bloody hell that's a lot! I found switching to a main stream company more than halved my premium last September.

and it's always good to play them off against each other, as they will try their damn best to beat their main competitors.

wow £1462 i paid that for the evo fq300 when i was 22 lol
not sure how these insurance companies can charge more insurance than the cars worth in some cases
a guy at work is way way older than me and has to pay £600 for a shed
i got the astra at £350 fully comp
thru compare dot com was lucky picked 3rd party f/t and the 2nd on on the list was £10 more than the lowest quote @ 3rd party but the 2nd was fully comp
its with Hastings direct
looked on here at some of the insurers and i dont think they could give me a better price than im paying

I'm just going on comparison websites and see what quotes I can get from there. I got quoted on a focus ST on a 10 plate and got a quote fully comp for £895 for the year. I also got a quote on a Celica VVTL-i for £695 fully comp. So just goes to show what sort of a quote I should be expecting for my Focus.

I'd say that's mighty impressive for the Evo for the age you were.Hasting Direct were the firs insurers for me when I had the corsa £1,790 ish.

I ended up going back to DirectLine, as they were the best price for me on the VXR, and got a reduced price because Amy has her 500 with them. She also got a 10% discount when she renewed in January.

Direct Line have always been reliable for good quotes. I haven't tried them yet but I've been on Comparethemarketdotcom and got quoted £465 with everything from Octagon. I'll be phoning up FluxDirect and telling them this. They wont care and wont lower it that much cause thats how insurers roll tbh.
