It's a pretty easy job tbh I've literally just fitted an astra outer end to a vectra shaft..
There's a cir clip inside open it up bash the end off and re fit with the new boot

It's the inner boot I'm changing smithy. sould I just try and stretch it over the outer shaft part if that even makes sense lol . It's bean a long time since I changed just the boot but last one I can remember was a escort van and it was a pain in the arse haha

Both ends require the same job.. There's no chance of getting the boot on without taking it apart but in the picture you can see the cir clip you need to open to allow the end to come off.. unless someone knows a way I don't it's the only way to do it lol

So the whole shaft needs dismantling lol. I'm Gona change the outer boot aswell now if that's what I've got to do .is it the same boot ? Is the curl clip easy to spot and what's the best way to get it out

The inner boot is smaller than the outer..
What I do is cut the boot clips off slide the boot down the shaft then clear some of the grease away and you should see the clip it's clipped around the shaft..
I've stripped down a vectra and an astra shaft and made a good one out of the 2 tonight and it's a messy job but pretty easy

ive tryed the gear oil and when i had the f23 it ran better with atf/mtf than with any of the oils
smoother gear changes and quieter running

i just drain it out the bottom then measure in 2.4l thru a funnel in the fill port in the top of the box

So 2.4l of ATF it is . Are the drain bolt and fill port easy to find . Think I saw the drain bolt last time I changed the oil
