Well the Astra was in a real state.

It had got to the point where in the dark i could not see anything and even with full beam on it looked like the normal running lights.

So with it back from getting it's service and mot i set about it and gave it a clean.

Here it is in the middle of December

So on with the clean, first up the engine bay, taped up all electrics then i used megs APC with various brushes and washed off. I then applied plastic dressing and buffed to a matt finish.

The wheels where treated to APC and wool wash mitt with various brushes.

I then coated the wheels to some Turtle wax nano wheel wax and the tyres to endurance gel. The plastic arches treated to AG rubber & v care.

The car was washed twice and dried with WW towel and megs last touch.

I then applied AG Ultra Deep shine polish, which wasnt a good move and spent the next 2 1/2 getting the stuff off, i then gave it a quick coat of megs NXT.
The inside was hoovered plastics and rubbers treated and all glass cleaned and then polished.

Although clean the car has some stone chips and a couple of RDS and swirling but it has just turned 7years old and has 90K on the clock.

here are the afters.

I had a go at mine on Saturday afternoon. Nearly 8 weeks since its last confession!! lol!!

My garage roof has been leaking and the water has been passing over the other leak that I blocked up with silicone. The silicone and water seems to have caused staining on the roof of the car so I had to give a session with the clay bar. I was quite suprised at the colour of the clay, it was quite dirty.

Anyway, its all back to tip top now.

Those front tyres look damn fine Si. They look very well looked after! ;-)

Tut tut Johnny, 8 weeks. The previous owner certainly did look after them

I really need to clay the lower half of my car you can feel it is rough.

looking good but i thought u sed a quick wash 4 1/ hrs is not a quick wash lol

It would have been a bit quicker if i had not struggled with the polish.
