Z22SE Gearbox oil

Evening gents, i have a question. My gearbox on astra g coupe 2.2 is a little noise when in neutral with clutch out. My mechanic had a look at it today and explained what might be wrong. Long story short, im just going to add an additive to quiet it down, but want to make sure its got enough oil in it too. The car isnt worth much but i want to drive it another year or so, so would like to get rid of the noise cheaply. I had a new engine fitted 3 years ago, and they said they checked gearbox oil level, but im not convinced. My question, where is the filler for my gearbox so i can add the additive (lucas,recommendations?) and topup oil. I understand to top it up i just add oil till it overflows.

Vauxhall sold me 2 litres for mine.

and the filler hole is on the front about half way up i believe.

Its not gear oil either its auto transmission fluid (in a manual gearbox i know)

So make sure the additive is ok with that.

The fill hole was kinder underneath the battery tray at the top on mine a large Alan key to undo it .and it's 2.4l to fill the f23 box
