thanks it was all rotaryNice correction work did you use the rotary more than the DA?
but then why would the 1 injector be spazzing its tits off ? its easy to test as it did it without the car running just with the ignition on and 9vcars looking good, nice to bring a car back from the clinches of death!
When my alternator died on the A34 I kept going as there were no decent places to stop, first of all power steering went then stereo and then every light started coming on car was fine enough maintaining speed it was only when I had to slow down due to traffic that it dropped down on the 3 cylinders and that's when I called it a day luckily 500m away was a decent layby so drove to that. AA man tested it at 9V's. car automatically cut the fuel back to match the weak spark so I think your problem will have come from else where as more fuel in the cylinder actually reduces the heat hence why running lean creates heat and high egt's
thats what i said in my guesstimationor that much fuel washing the bore may of removed all lube from cylinder walls and eventually piston got hot and rings expanded jamming the piston and snapping the rod
.
will have to wait till monday now got to clean up the other car for tomorrow and then get it ready for the trip to pvsIt's not as likely as the injector was still stuck open and not failed totally, the amount of fuel from a stuck open injector would of kept that piston cool.
Hurry up and strip it down so we can see the damage
