Enigne sounds like a diesel....

my 2.2 sounds like a diesel when i first start it, then after 10 mins or so of driving, the noise seems to disappear.

Bought the car 2 months ago with 43k on - 2001 coupe.

In history of the car, at 40k had new timing tensioner.


Any ideas?

get it looked at ASAP

if it's the chain and it breaks you will be looking at a bill for £1500

yeah this is at idle

so do you reckon its the chain?

if so how much would VX charge to fix it?

they should of replaced the timing chain kit, not just the tensioner

it will snap very soon, get it trailered to a garage
