Do you know what filter is inside? or if this kit is a good upgrade?

It's a polo 1.0L K&N filter and in my opinion there s**t, too restrictive on a higher powered engine.

A panel filter pipercross or similar and de restrict the air box - look in the how to section or do a search plenty of info here. You could also use a vectra c air intake pipe and better still port your throttle body.
