computer/lappy nackerd

as title really lappy is nackerd so a friend of mine said to me i have a desktop you can have for nothing so said thanks very much and took it (this is why i havent been on much at all lately)

lappy the power input has been ripped out by the kids

and this desktop i got is a packard bell (Packard Bell GA-8SIML Motherboard)

and here is where i need some help when i recieved it had 256mb ram i have brought a thurther 1gb of ram and its made the pc much more reliable and the 256mb i had ive stuck in the 2nd ram port.

what i want to do is get myself a wireless card and a graphics card just to make it more stable as at first it saw the internet and threw a hissy fit and died every time.

so the motherboard is: Packard Bell GA-8SIML Motherboard

so get cracking guys as i dont know what im looking for, links please

What O/S do you have on it? By the time you have bought a graphics card which I assume will be AGP and wireless card you maybe cheaper buying a second hand / refurbished unit?

i got this free just to get me out the poop lol so far ive spent £4 on a 1gb of ram just wanna spend a few pennies on it just to keep it going for now nothing fancy really aslong as i can stream without fail and be on car sites im a happy man and need to buy a desk for it as atm im on the kitchen table which the misses isnt happy about pmsl

as for the graphics 512 would be perfect if it supports it just free's up the ram their is nothing i can do about cpu going back when i was 18 i use to build comps ebuyer use to be my friend lol

you can still get agp cards but there are still pci gpus that you can buy and usb wireless dongle would be cheaper option
like you say it was free you just need it to do the normal stuff

I will have a dig through my parts bin may have a agp card but, I binned most of them as haven't required AGP in years.

rite guys offer away comp still slow as poo at times just sitting here with vvoc and z22se running on internet explorer avast running and cpu at 100% ram at 51% please help me before i go insaine

Are you still having problems with it running slow? If you are only using it for the internet, you could always scrap off windows and run Ubuntu Linux on it, which will run a lot better on lower spec'd hardware.
