Changing the coolant

Hi. Im quite new to the vauxhall cars and have a 2.2 direct. I am going to change the coolant soon with genuine vauxhall and have read in the haynes manual about a drain bolt on the water pump ??. Would this require undoing and if so is it located where the pulleys are ?? . If i can do it old school style and just take off the botton hose then i will do.

Thankyou for your time

there is a drain plug on the bottom of the coolant pump, I normally only use that if replacing the pump - it drains the block.

But old school method is easier - whip off the lower rad hose

Is it easy or not too difficult to reach the pump drain plug?
I've been "washing" the system disconnecting the lower radiator hose and adding demineralised water, but, of course, the system is not entirely flushed at once. So, maybe draining the block, it's faster.
