when i did mine i fitted them with the marks in line rotated the crank 2 times to check all was ok then visually inspected the timing marks and cam locations
as long as you dont turn the crank anti clock wise your ok
the other trick is use a silver marker to mark the cams to the cam bearing cap but thats before you take it all apart
