in network bits it says 100mbps for the current speed....whats this? i'm with ntl on 2mb

go to www.speedtest.net and you can test your connection speed there.

The 100mbps speed you are seeing there is the internal network speed, so the connection from your PC to your router.

well i had a letter off virgin/ntl today confirming my broadband will increase to 20meg on the 1st of May, can't wait

sure will. the letter says that to download one mp3 should take 2 seconds

i remember when i was on dial up and downloading 1 song took about 30 mins

I know, I can remember downloading a 70 minute mix, and it took about 7 hours.

well i checked the status of my modem yesterday and this is what it now shows, you can see that the downstream is showing 20meg

and just did a quick speed test and this is the result

any good?

i have noticed when downloading its much quicker, downloaded a dvd in about 40 minutes on sunday
