Battery light no power steering

Well today battery light came on and lost all power steering, all belts look ok and the battery is pretty new, I am guessing it's the alternator that's gone?

If so do you think I can drive it 9 miles to the mechanics.

your mechanic won't help unless he has an alternator on the shelf ready to fit :)
top tip neobrothers sell alternators with warranty for £30 :)

a simple test with a multimeter would confirm its not charging

Cheers evocarlos :) I meant have I got a chance driving 9 miles with the car like this?

Ps thanks for heads up on neobrothers do I need a 120 or 100 amp?

It would be a 24hr wait on parts.

My multimeter is at work 12 miles away :(

You'll make 9 miles easy mine died on motorway and I managed over 30 miles till the coil pack ran on 3 and then the fuel pump stopped :ROFLMAO:

Needs to be full battery with nothing electric in car on
