Will the f23 end not fit on to the f40 shaft ?
no the astra cv's wont fit the vec f40 shafts there larger in diameter and knock off not clipped on
you need the vec c z22se/z22yh f23 drive shaft and pilot shaft for the drivers side with an astra g outter cv
the passenger side you just use the factory z22se astra shaft into the f23 box

or if you're using the m32 6 speed like me then you use the z22yh driver pilot shaft and bracket with vec c z22se shaft and astra outer cv then a z20lel passenger driver shaft on the passenger side

after driving the coupe last time it was on the road, the brakes are s--t , so been looking for bigger brakes , surely the brembo calipers on the corsa nurbergring , are not made just for the Vauxhall special editions , so after hours of looking, cross referencing brake pads and so on? , found some Renault megane 225 sport brembo calipers , big question are they the same????????, bit the bullet and took a chance and bought them ,from renparts in Doncaster , so being only 10 minutes from my house parted my hard earned cash and got some scruffy calipers in yellow , so with yellow not being my colour, set about them with sandpaper , bought the Vauxhall adaptors from ebay tried them on my mates astra h vxr , perfect ,,,,,, ive now got the simple task of getting my car running to try them out,,,,,,,

Cheers for the engine ian , we also hit a block of wood on the way home In the center lane , no time to avoid it .

Think it must of distorted the front tyre as 60mile later we had a flat fro t drivers tyre .it was ripped on the inside beads in two places and 1slash in the outside tread and a small rip on the bead with a egg . Was gutted only 2 week old tyre and the fitters usex a wi dy gun and rounded a stud .we limped to a pub where some builders were sat having a pint and had t borrow proper sockets to remove 1nut . What a ball ache that was pub was packed and trying t vet the spacesaver from under the engine was a rite mare lol.
