Z22YH air con leak

Hi everyone

Had my air con re filled last week worked lovely for about 4 days.
Got the guy back and he says there is a pin hole leak in one of the pipes where a cable has been rubbing on it and it needs a new condenser at £220.

If it's just the pipe can you not just replace that or is there any way to seal the leak if it's such a small hole?

Could do without spending that sort of money doubt I will get my moneys worth by the looks of our summer so far.

You can get a new condenser for a lot less than that and fit it yourself, it's only a couple of bolts

Aircon pipes are usually well overpriced for what they are.. Example is on a focus the one that goes from the pump to the condenser is around 130 quid and it's only a foot long

Do you need to remove the front grill to get at it to replace it?

I wud imagine its like the astra, so it front bumper off to replace the condensor,

I have just bought a new condenser for the astra prices varied but bought one with two year guarantee from a car Aircon company for £65 just waiting to book it in to get fitted.

wow that sounds a good deal do you know if it is the same as the one on a 55 plate zafira? Its a 2.2 petrol.

Hi this is the one I bought, as said not fitted yet but looks very good quality esp for the price I expected some tin foil / kit kat wrapper item will wait until its fitted though to fully comment.

May be worth sending them a message to see if this one fits or they have one to fit.
