Evening all
Had the air con re-gassed last month at **** Fit on my Vectra B. They said the system was practically empty before, and I suspected as much as the performance of the system was tailing off. When I went to drive away after starting up the car kept stalling (it's an auto), so I went back in while they scratched heads, and let the thing run for a while. On switching on the system the revs would drop below about 500rpm and she would stop.
After a few more attempts at this things seems ok. Everything's been fine since then until this morning - no air con now, just quite warm air blowing through. Obviously this couldn't have come at a worse time lol. The fan works, the revs drop on pressing the relevant button momentarily while the system kicks in but no chilled air.
A code appears on the dash screen - 8 0582. No idea what this is.
I suppose there must be a hefty lek somewhere unless anyone can think of anything else?
