It has been a while, so I thought I'd better do an update. Sorry for not being on the forum for a while, a bit of bad s**t with my best friends brother taking his own life, so support for him has taken priority.
The car has been back on the road for just under a month and had it's MOT at the end of March. All passed OK.
Then on to an update for the front grill. I was never happy with the gap around the backing of the Insignia badge which I made for the front grill.
So a solution, and thanks to someone hitting the back of my dads brand new Zafira Tourer, I got the tailgate badge off the back as it got a new complete chrome strip. This badge had a complete solid back as you can see from the picture below.
The Insignia badge is on the left, and Zafira Tourer badge on the right.
The later griffins also don't have the Vauxhall lettering in black, so it is a little more subtle.
Here it is mounted to the grill.
The grill also got a coat of gloss black along with all the other bumper OSV grills.
Then on to the rear end.
I have been searching for the genuine Irmscher rear lip spoiler for the past four years, and have only seen two. One at PVS in 2012 on another Linea Rossa, and Dexter's on his Linea Rossa. So imagine my reaction when I saw this one on ebay for a £25 buy it now price! Yep, I got it bought asap.
So my local Vauxhall dealer did the paint job for me and it went on this afternoon.
You se, rocking horse s**t does exist!
So thats where we are for now. Not sure what will be planned for rest of this year. Had an expensive year last year with a brand new caravan and Freelander 2 so I think this year will be spent enjoying the car, and perfecting the little bits that need doing.
