2.2 cuts out

Hi folks,

New to this and im sure my answers are everywhere on here but i aint much use on forums.

I have a 2.2 Vectra Sri on an 06 plate with 102,000 miles, its an Auto. I have just bought recently and it was running fine, until i taxed it, DOH! Once the car warms up its develops a small miss but even worse if your driving it just cuts out, (not much in an automatic). I have replaced the coil pack and spark plugs. The fuel pump is a continental and the car had a replacement fuel pressure regulator under recall in 2011.

Im thinking about buying a new fuel pressure reulator but dont want to spend another £120 on something that doesnt make a difference. The only fault code that comes up is P1191. Just wondered if someone with more experiance with this engine could direct me, im happy to buy the regulator but just concerned im wasting more money. Should these regulators fail after a couple of years?

Thank you all very much in advance for any help that can be directed my way :)

could be egr valve related issue . you should not need to replace fuel pressure regulator in less than 2 years unless its faulty . but the engine mileage means its time to replace timing chain if it's not been done recently
