    So if i get another maf sensor and a fuel pressure sensor or fuel regulater sensor it should idle and run as it should then lol? Problem with it being a 2.2 and buying second hand parts you dont have reliabilitly on these parts. Thanks

    Idles same, so my timing is spot on then if crank is at 12 oclock for woodruff key for pistons 1 and 4 at tdc. This is my cams and crank and everything was lined up to correct colored marks on chain like in your guides on here.

    Yes they were but were fine before i did timing belt. Why have the tips gone on my spark plugs and ends bent in? There not like that on old ones i took out before chain change. Cheers

    I put new soark plugs in after i did timing, the bosch plugs are old ones i took out and the ngk plugs are new ones. Is this the reason for the way the car is irratic idling, stalling, engine vibrating, throwing them 2 codes up, over advanced timing? I got number 1 and 4 at tdc

    I think the crank is out causing pre ignition as my new spark plugs i out in after timing the tips have gone! This causing the irratic running and not idling right?

    I didnt check, but ive turned engine over by by cranking at pulley. I tried turning it over with no rocker cover on at first without coilpack connected but didnt know how much oil was suppose to come up to that bit. It was on timing chain though was oil when it was turning over. Only had problem...

    Right to start with just done balance and timing chain and all timed up as figo popped over to confirm it looked good that it looked correct.     Cheers for that, i put them bolts in a jar when i took sump off same as i did with timing cover just didnt count how many i took off doing cover. Who ever had done it before left one out so off to scrap yard today to get one.

    Yeah cheers figo and vocky, who ever had done timing chain cover before had only put 9 bolts in and the long one i put in where i showed the blue arrow. So its a trip to a scrap yard tomorrow and get another bolt before putting sump back on tues and testing car

    In this photo the yellow arrow is the same as the bolt in the photo above, the red arrow is small bolts so is the blue arrow the same bolt as the yellow arrow?

    Are these spot on for balance chain? The 12 and 6 oclock marking are from the engine block as the engine tilts back slighty yes so its level with the ground 12 and 6 oclock.
