yeah ecu spec should be similar, i had a vectra c z22se. got scrapped couple of weeks ago but i'll be getting another one soon, i prefer the 2.2. i should imagine the ecu should be programmable to your speedometer etc, if not with opcom possibly tech 2 (dealer??) there will be a way.

sometimes fixing problems (especially electrical) un-earths more problems further on, year of the car the wires can become brittle and break up inside, i will check on my vectra tomorrow for sure, but there may be a connector for the speed sensors somewhere near the fuel tank.

from experience i wouldnt say ecu would be bad, more than likely wiring from connection block in wheel arches back to ecu somewhere, is it a vectra?
