Hi Rushy,
just got a live data reader plugged in fuel pressure 5000+ on idle (what ever it is) then if I rev parked, over 5000rpm the spanner light will come on on pressure will drop to 1600.
I have to start the car twice the reading back up to 5000+ . is this linked to the flaps??? which i...
Cleared codes, spanner light came on at high revs then into limpmode. Now I get just P1112 P
Flaps move freely, open and close when started and stopped??
Could it be just one flap??? last service one spark plug was black
ok l have code p1112 and p0191, so flaps and fuel senser. should l replace senser, and hope flaps are ok or just take to garage to confirm, so hope its not the flaps. tried carb down inlet
ok thanks Rushy, I did unplug the FPR for 20 mile today back from work and it was abit "clunky" and still hesitant over 4000rpm still.
Cheers for the link - just going through it now.
Just thought of something, I filled the tank full this morning! and i was getting the spanner light more often!!! that must relate to the fuel pressure??
Thanks rushy:), I will give that ago and see if it makes a difference, just waiting on a code reader delivery tomoz to see what that brings up...if its related to the fuel pressure then I will replace the FPR and hope that fixes the problem.
Thanks Adam.
Drove to work this morning, giving it some in 3rd just over 4000rpm spanner light then into Limp mode!! Pulled over switched off back to normal no warning lights.
This has got to be the pump or regulator!!! but I have a continental pump on it?
GOING CRAZY!!!!
Bloody thing is driving me mad also! great car, but just think im going to destroy it everytime I put my foot down...annoying!!
No EML isnt on, but has come on a few times after misfire and spannerlight...so something is failing!!!
Hi rushy thanks for the reply mate
Mine has the continental pump on it and looks clean (would this fail), thats why i thought it was the regulator, worse then engine is hot?
checked the flaps and bar by hand, and moves freely. Unless its sticking at high revs if it is them??
