hi all. had the car at the stealers today for diag work. they saying its the roof ecu is at fault and they will gladly replace it for £700 plus vat... jog the f'##k on luv lol. anyone know if ecu is repairable or 2nd hand units fit?

got my bumper on the other week but havent been able to upload pics to laptop. mite be buying some tubular manifolds next month and maybe see about getting them copied as they are hard as hell to get hold of.

so a little update on the mrs cabby. i can not get the roof to work. starting to think the ecu is at fault. on a plus note she got these headlights at a good price and also came with 2x hid kits and a different grill. so got these fitted today and put a pair of hids into the fogs for her.

think i mite have a cover of the vectra i broke at xmas. will have to have a look at lockup this weekend and see if i still got them.

yeh she looking sweet now. as is normal with cars tho you get it spot on and something brakes, the roof no longer works. tried to reset it manualy with no joy. the fuse is ok and i carnt find any broken wires anywere. there is no beeping so im starting to think that the ecu could be shot. any1...

just been out to a local meet and ive noticed that my drivers seat feels loose on the left rear part were you sit. ive checked the bolts and everything is tight. anyone got any ideas? kind of knocks the confidence when cornering hard as i feel like the back is going to brake off

hi rich. yeh ive got the info somewere in a folder.will have to dig it out. when i eventualy found out what needed doing it wasnt to bad. i made the mistake of fitting engine before doing the wiring tho so my bay is a bit messy atm. prob guna pull it out this winter and do it properly.

yeh well this what i wanted to find out. the car handles grate but is to high for me, im running 215 40 18s and want it sat just above the tyres so trying to work out what springs i have and to what spec then i can work out how much to lower. dont want it sat on its arse again.looked good tho...

hmm thats interesting, would of expected the 1.6 so have a lessers spec spring compared to the rest. cheers for the info carl

hi guys. coupe is running koni shocks and eibach springs. i was told that the springs are diesal spec and are a 30mm drop, the car sits nose hi and could do with coming down another 20mm. am i right in thinking that the derv springs are the same load spec as the 2.0 and the 2.2? cheers jp

small update for my bus. been saving up recently and bought some koni shocks with eibach springs. handles very well. firm but not harsh. unfortunatly i didnt take any pics when i fitted these but im sure you all know what suspension looks like lol. i am getting a gsi front bumper in 2weeks so...

no you miss understand. it took me 2 hours to get the engine out. the lad that did my wheels has spent a good 7-8 hours on these lol. had to get them blasted as previous owners of these wheel had painted these to hell and was rather thick in paint. on the plus side tho when i got the tyres...

its rover amethyst. wheels didnt cost me anything to refurb as i pulled a engine out of a car for him. took me 2 hours to do. i just had to but paint which cost me 30 quid :)

well small update for the cabby. got the wheels back from my mate who gave them a back to metal refurb. she has had the coilovers fitted on full drop with the rear adjusters removed and replaced the foggy headlights for some nice shiny 2nd hand units that were for sale local for 20 quid. next...
