Had enough now. Manifold is ok. Now have a loud metallic clicking noise on cold start up, am thinking it may be tensioner gone or chain guide broke. Only had it done last year by carlos! Car is going into a garage on Wednesday to have a look. Am expecting a big bill !!!!!!!!!!! :- (

So had a vibration lately so decided to check my front mount. Am running it with powerflex inserts in. Took it out and the inserts and the standard rubber in it are all fine, casing is all ok. But as I pushed it just with my fingers I found I could slide out the rubber mount from the housing...

PS I have a Piper manifold that has been on there for years

New theory, if the manifold had cracked or the manifold gasket was leaking would this cause a louder exhaust note and resonate through the car??

Now think this is a vibration issue more than running rough. Thinking rear engine mount? Car has done 101K is it likely a rear mount could go??

What work would be involved to prove its the main bearing though. I would think quite a strip down.

I would love to and fix it but it comes down to time and weather both of which I am not having much luck with lol. I have had all the chain apart and replaced it all, the tensioner is tight and all looks good apart from the low down knock. p**sed off as it has only done 85K.
